2007 RESULTS 2007 Match Play Tournament Winners Scratch Match Play Championship A Class: Chuck Griesinger B Class: Todd Duffy C Class: Tom Quinn President's Cup A Class: Jerry Kuwik B Class: Dave Helmbrecht C Class: Tom Quinn 2007 Club Championship Sean McNamara, Darin Tesmer & Wayne Cross win A, B & C Titles Sean McNamara, the most recent inductee into the South Park Golf Club Hall of Fame showed his playing days aren't over yet by winning his 8th club championship on Sunday July 29th. McNamara shot a solid 36 hole score of even par 140 to defeat the past year's club champion Liam Friedman by 3 strokes. Jerry Kuwik finished third at 149, while Chuck Griesenger finished fourth at 150. In the “B” Class, Darin Tesmer parlayed rounds of 74 and 81 to the championship for total score of 155 and an 8 stroke victory over the 2006 champ Jim Connors. Pat Quinn and Darren Koepnick finished in a tie for third at 164. Wayne Cross showed his steady play throughout the year was no fluke in taking the C Class with identical rounds of 88 for a 5 stroke victory over, once again, the 2006 class champ Marty Cyna. Charles Poloncarz finished third at 186, 1 stroke ahead of Larry Connors. The members of the golf club like to thank the many local golf fans who came out on the final day of the tournament to watch the play, they were treated to some great golf, especially from the new champ, as well as the grounds staff at the South Park Golf Course for the excellent condition of the course. McNamara became the 14th member of the Hall of Fame and joined his father, Tony McNamara, as the only father and son combo in the Hall. In the tournament honoring Sean, Mick Ewing was the overall champion by recording a 9 hole Stableford score of +16.5. Rich Ewing and Mike Daniels finished in a tie for 2nd place by shooting scores of +16.
