The South Park Golf Club, founded in 1931 and open to the public, is proud to hold its events and tournaments at the South Park Golf Course located in South Park, a nationally known Frederick Law Olmsted park and arboretum in Buffalo, New York.
The members of the South Park Golf Club invite you to review our website and find out what it is that has made South Park one of the more popular men's golf clubs in Buffalo, New York for over 80 years. Our members compete in weekly and monthly tournaments on the South Park Golf Course located on the border of South Buffalo and Lackawanna.
The South Park Golf Club, or "SP" as its affectionately known, is a member club of the USGA, the BDGA, and the WNYPLGA. As a member club of each of these organizations all of our members are entitled to play in any tournament or event held by these organizations. While the Club has had its share of worthy champions, including past Buffalo District and WNY Public Links Golf Association Champions, most of our members just enjoy the game of golf and the friendship of our fellow members.
As you will see, the South Park Golf Club is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and one of the most economical golfing bargains in all of Western New York. New members are always welcome, and we invite you to join our Club. Please click on any of the links to the left to find out more about SP.

Paul Schein, Sr. wins 2019 Player of the Year
The annual player of the year battle is often a close one, but not this year as Paul Schein, Sr. won after picking up 109 points through the year long competition. Chris Carroll finished second with 77 points, while 2020 Club Champion Gary Masocco finished third with 72 points. Congratulations to Paul!
Dorobiala, Cyman and Scanlon win the Darin Koepnick "Scooter" Shootout
Joe Dorobiala, Jay Cyman and Steve Scanlon won the last tournament of the year the Darin Koepnick Memorial "Scooter" Shootout at -3, 8 teams tied at -2. In the following closest to the pin shootout Tim Sullivan was closest to the pin for the 173 yard shot at 8ft, Tim Knott was closest for the 150 yard shot at 6ft, and Sean Michalski closest for the 90 yard shot at 4 ft. Thank you to all who played today and this year. This wraps up our 2019 golf season. See you at the Awards Banquet.
Back where it belongs: South Park GC Wins 2019 Challenge Cup
Back where it belongs! Great job by our South Park team to recapture the Challenge Cup, defeating the team from the Buffalo Golf Club by a score of 13-8. Super play from Captain Chris Carroll's squad. The winning team consisted of Chris Carroll, Keith Dziak, Jim Fredo and Jay Surdyke in A; Paul Schein Sr, Todd Storrey, Mike Kuhn and Frank Vogel in B and Ken Gawel, Nick Schaefer, Don Dorobiala and Tom Deering in C Class. Way to bring it home gents!
Gary Masocco is the 2019 Club Champion; Frank Vogel, Don Dorobiala, and Mike Ciesla win B, C and Seniors Crowns
Gary Masocco captured his third club championship when he carded a 69 and 75 for a 4 over par total of 144. Defending champion Jim Fredo finished second at 145, and Jason Surdyke finished 3rd at 146. Frank Vogel, Jr. won his first B Class crown in convincing fashion by 5 strokes over Mike Kuhn. Don Dorobiala won C Class by 12 strokes, while Mike Ciesla won the Senior class by 1 stroke over Jerry Kuwik. Congrats to all!
Polish Previal in 39th Ed Krypel Polish v. Irish Challenge Match
The 2019 Polish v. Irish Challenge Match is in the books and the Polonia "kadets" successfully defended their 2018 title after the 10 lowest scores from each team were matched: 685 to 711. Gary Masocco lead the Polish squad with a net 67 and Ken Gawel lead the Irish with a net 66. The lads from the Emerald Isle aren't happy because the Polish flag will fly for another year at South Park.
South Park Golf Club Issues Letter to Kevin Gaughan on Future of Course
The South Park Golf Club issued its official statement regarding the future of the course in a letter dated April 13, 2019 to Kevin Gaughan of Nicklaus Olmsted Buffalo, Inc.
