SOUTH PARK GOLF CLUB
COURSE OVERVIEW

The home course of the Club is the the nine hole course located in historic South Park in South Buffalo. South Park is one of the crown jewels of the Buffalo parkway system. It was designed by world reknowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in 1892, and opened one year later. South Park is the home of the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, and a full history of South Park can be found by clicking HERE.

The golf course was designed and opened in 1915, and has been a fixture of the park ever since. While the course has always been a nine hole par 35, it has changed over the years. South Park Lake is a predominant feature of three of the holes (4th, 5th and 6th) and comes into play on the third hole.

The course was lengthened recently with the construction of new tees for the 2004 season. The yardage and pars for each hole from the back of each tee will be the following:

1st: 325 yards, par 4
2nd: 311 yards, par 4
3rd: 355 yards, par 4
4th: 175 yards, par 3
5th: 275 yards, par 4
6th: 435 yards, par 4
7th: 320 yards, par 4
8th: 335 yards, par 4
9th: 345 yards, par 4

While the course is not long, precise shots are required because it is fairly tight off of the tees. Click below to take an individual tour of each hole.
