(Buffalo, NY, January 27, 2006) - - An audit by the new Erie County comptroller shows the Board of Elections needs more resources to conduct a special election that's just four and a half weeks away.
Mark Poloncarz says more part time staff is needed to ensure that proper election procedures are carried out.
Election commissioners say new changes in election law will require more staff and money. They have 30 days to respond to the audit.
