Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz says projects will get the funds they've been waiting months for thanks to a compromise.
Mirror bonds will be used by the county and control board. The two entities will borrow and exchange those bonds.
Poloncarz says both sides had legitimate worries, with the legislature concerned about the control board staying on longer by borrowing the money, and the control board wanted cost savings to materialize.
Now he says checks could go out by next month.
