Poloncarz Issues Cell Phone Audit
Tuesday, April 11, 2006 12:58 PM - WBEN Newsroom

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz says he's upset not only about what he found in his audit of cell phones, but the fact it was leaked early by the Giambra administration.

Poloncarz tells Newsradio 930 WBEN the only reason he can come with the leak is spin the audit because "there's nothing positive about the audit."

The audit found the use of cell phones for personal and long-distance calls, ringtone and game downloads. It also found two laid-off employees still have county-issued cell phones. Deputy County Executive Bruce Fisher says changes will be made and the county will be reimbursed.
