CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Erie County Comptroller candidate Mark Poloncarz earned the endorsement of the Western New York Teamsters Joint Council No. 46, adding to his list of union support. The Teamsters Joint Council No. 46 consists of five Teamsters Locals with more than 14,000 workers in the public and private sectors throughout Western New York.

When commenting about the endorsement, Poloncarz said: "I am very honored to have the Teamsters' support. It means a great deal to me to have the confidence of our county's working men and women. As comptroller, I will make sure that their hard-earned tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively to return Erie County to what it once was."

"Mark is a very independent-minded person who believes in practical solutions, not partisan politics," said Political Action Coordinator Richard Lipsitz. "While everyone else was denying a problem existed, Mark was developing a plan to solve it and we have the utmost confidence that he will do just that."
